Jul 12th, 2021
On this week's episode, Cindy and Adam are a little late with their discussion on the 4th of July, but they make up for it by covering the topic of patriotism.
They touch on the recent discovery of mass graves of indigenous people in Canada and this affected Adam's traditional celebration of Canada Day (even though he's American).
They then switch to how they define patriotism and how the term has taken on a new meaning in recent years. They discuss how they have celebrated Independence Day in the past and how they view commercial acts of patriotism vs. more meaningful and productive ones that extend beyond the holiday celebrations.
